ATTOCK - Four police personnel were booked for allegedly taking bribe from transporters at Khushakgarh Bridge.

As per details, four policemen including Sub-Inspector Mehrban Khan, ASI Kashif Khan, ASI Zahid Khan and Constable Waseem, deployed at Khushalgarh check-post almost 100-km away from Attock on Rawalpindi-Kohat Road were found involved in taking bribe from the drivers of oil tankers crossing the bridge.

The matter was brought into the knowledge of Attock DPO Israr Ahmad Abbasi who ordered an inquiry. Jand DSP Arsalan Khan and Jand Police SHO Aslam carried out an inquiry and found the cops involved in taking bribe from the oil tanker drivers. Following the inquiry report, the policemen have been arrested and a case has been registered against them under the relevant act.
