ISLAMABAD - Jinnah Tigers won the Second Chairman POF Board Floodlit tape ball cricket Tournament-2016, after thrashing Lala Rukh Mighty by 8 wickets in the final played at Oval Cricket Ground Wah Cantt late Tuesday night.

Lala Rukh Mighty won the toss and opted to bat first, but the decision fail to provide desired results, as lala Rukh could only score a meager 53 for the loss of 9 wickets in allotted 8 overs, none of the batsmen could enter double figures.

Jinnah Tigers achieved the target in 6.3 overs for the loss of only 2 wickets, POF Chairman Lt Gen Omar Mahmood Hayat, HI (M) was the chief guest at the concluding ceremony & distributed prizes among the players.

Earlier, Secretary POF Sports Control Board Asad Durrani informed in his welcoming remarks that 32 teams hailing from Wah Cantt, Rawalpindi, Attock, Haripur and surrounding areas participated in the tournament.

Secretary POF Sports Control Board further told that POF Sports Control Board is actively engaged in hunting new talent by utilizing all resources and this tournament is the part of this endeavor, POF Sports Control Board is committed to hold various sports events in future also for promotion of sports activities in the country.
