Man shot dead

Islamabad - Unknown attackers shot dead a person in Sabzi Mandi area in the wee hours of Wednesday, police said.

Muhammad Yaqoob son of Muhammad Haneef, a resident of Plundri, Azad Kashmir, used to work at the vegetable and fruit market. The police said that unknown attackers shot him dead around 3am Wednesday when he was present at his shop. Sabzi Mandi police have registered a case against unknown persons and further investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, Islamabad police arrested seven outlaws and 14 beggars from various area of the city and recovered wine, weapons and stolen property from their possession. According to details, Anti-Car Lifting Cell of Islamabad police apprehended two car thieves and recovered fake number plates from their possession.

 Secretariat police arrested Naeem Bashir and recovered one 30-bore pistol, one 12-bore gun along with ammunition from him. Noon police arrested Hanif and recovered one 30-bore pistol along with ammunition from him.

Koral police arrested a bootlegger Mushtaq Masih and recovered 20 liter liquor from him.

Golra police arrested Baber and Shahzad allegedly involved in a theft case. Cases have been registered against them and further investigation is underway.
