MULTAN-The police have returned the personal belongings of slain model Fauzia Azeem alias Qandeel Baloch to her father on Wednesday. Police sources said that Muhammad Azeem, the father of Qandeel, filed an application, requesting Muzaffarabad police to return the belongings of his slain daughter. “He was returned two tops, a purse and some foreign as well as local currency,” sources added.

The father of Qandeel had stated in his application that the police did not need the belongings for investigation anymore and the things might get spoiled if they remained in police custody. A local court permitted the police to return the belongings to her father.

Qandeel was strangled to death by her brother Waseem on the night between July 15 and 16 at a house in Kareem Town Multan in precincts of Muzaffarabad police. The killer was caught by police from Dera Ghazi Khan on July 17 and he confessed to his crime. Police also arrested Qandeel’s cousin Haq Nawaz, who also admitted that he helped Waseem to murder Qandeel. Currently, he is on physical remand. Another relative of Qandeel namely Zafar and the taxi driver Basit are also being quizzed by police.
