LAHORE - NAVTTC Executive Director Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema attended a convocational ceremony in a private vocational training institute as chief guest yesterday, says a press release.

He awarded certificates to the students who completed one year training in Fashion & Textile designing under Prime Minister Hunarmond Program. Cheema urged the students to work hard in their professional life during his address to the successful students.

He urged the youth to come forward and learn useful skills instead of wasting time in colleges. The participants of the ceremony who completed this training last year informed that they have got very good jobs and now they were able to support their families.

He said: “Technical & vocational training in different useful trades is playing an important role to eliminate unemployment form the country. The Government is providing training in those trades that will help the youth to become the useful citizens of the country.”

NAVTTC would continue to train millions of young people in demand driven trades, he added. Zulfiqar Cheema said thousands of jobless youth got job after getting training under Prime Minister Hunarmond Program in different trades that considerably reduced rate of unemployment.

Cheema further added that NAVTTC is engaged in utilising the untapped potential of youth in the right direction so that they become productive citizens and contribute towards socio-economic development of the country.
