LAHORE - The Federal Cabinet will be meeting here on Wednesday at the Governor's House with Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani in the chair, who had already arrived in the City on Tuesday afternoon. He was received at the airport by Governor Punjab Salman Taseer, Senior Provincial Minister Raja Riaz Ahmed, Provincial Minister Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, MNA Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, PPP Punjab President Rana Aftab Ahmad Khan and a number of PPP MPAs. This is for the second time, the Cabinet is holding its meeting in the provincial metropolis. According to a source, a six-point has already been outlined for the meeting. CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif will also participate for which Gilani is said to have has extended the invitation himself. Gilani will also hold a meeting with over 100 MPs and party office-bearers from the Punjab at the Governor's House prior to chairing the Cabinet meeting. The PM will take the MPs into confidence on the Senate elections and other political developments in the country. In the afternoon, he will also inaugurate the Benazir Income Support Programme. The Premier is also expected to meet PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif at the latter's Raiwind residence. Salmaan Taseer will host dinner in the honour of the Cabinet members.
