KHAIRPUR - Two unidentified armed bike-riders gunned down a TV journalist Ashiq Ali Mangi in Gambat on Wednesday. As per police report, Ashiq Mangi, reporter of Mehran TV channel, was going to press club from his home on motorcycle when two armed men shot him dead. The attackers then managed to escape after committing the crime. The cause of the murder is said to be an enmity with some people of Narejo community. The funeral prayer of the deceased was attended by a large number of people of the area. Meanwhile, Chairman of Sindhi Speakers Forum Ghaffar Mahar and others condemned the incident and demanded of the government to arrest the culprits and provide security to the newsmen immediately.
