LAHORE – The survival of the country lies in safeguarding the ideology of Pakistan, as the same ideology brought into existence the State of Madina, said Professor Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, Ameer Jamaat-ud-Dawaa.
He expressed the views while addressing a session of the ongoing Nazaria-i-Pakistan Conference at Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehrik-e-Pakistan on Friday.
Chairman Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust and Editor-in-Chief, The Nation, Majid Nizami presided over the session, while PTI vice chairman, Shah Mehmood Qureshi was the guest speaker.
Chief guest for the session, Hafiz Saeed said, “East Pakistan was dismembered from the West, as we failed to safeguard the ideology of Pakistan”.
He said, “Kalmiya Tayyiba is not only a part of our faith, but it is the binding force among Bengalis, Punjabis and Pathans”.
He while asserting that America and its allies were leaving Afghanistan after a crushing defeat, Hafiz Saeed predicted that Atomic Pakistan is going to emerge as an important state on the international canvass.
He said that the US wanted to play a dangerous game in the region by declaring Pakistan a terrorist state; however the Almighty would not let them succeed in their nefarious designs.  Jammat ud Dawaa leader said that India should understand that it could not stay in the Occupied Kashmir with its military might, and it too will be defeated like the Americans were in Afghanistan.  He added that back channel diplomacy would not help resolve the Kashmir issue.
He said that the government had declared India a MFN state, however no political force had moved any resolution against this objectionable decision.
Hafiz Saeed said that the government on one hand stated that NATO supply would not be restored; however the Defense Minister himself has said that the government had given airspace to NATO supply carriers.
While appreciating the role of Chairman Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust, Majid Nizami for safeguarding the ideology of Pakistan Hafiz Saeed said that Majid Nizami has the best manifesto in the shape of ideology of Pakistan, which no other political force has at its disposal.  Also speaking at the occasion, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, warned of the ensuing bloodshed if the current set up tried to achieve the results of their choice in the next elections. He added that time has come for constituting an impartial election commission once and for all to elect true public representatives.
While alleging the Prime Minister for making bids to rig the election process in favour of his son from the constituency Shah Mehmood Qureshi has resigned, he claimed that officials of Intelligence Bureau were asking for votes in favour of the Prime Minister’s son.
He said that PTI would make sure that a bi-partisan election commission be in place before the next polls, besides ensuring the new and updated voter lists, adding that they would not accept the results released by partisan election commission.
PTI vice chairman said that two major political forces had decided the shape of caretaker set up and no other political party whether inside the parliament and outside has been taken into confidence, adding that this action would drift the democracy to the point of no return in the next polls and create uproar among the political parties, which were not taken onboard.
