RAWALPINDI  - A Pakistan Army contingent left for United Nations mission at Darfur, Sudan on Friday. According to the ISPR statement, the contingent comprises 22 officers, nine junior commissioned officers and 214 soldiers. At present, a contingent comprising 500 troops of Pakistan Army including engineers and doctors are rendering valuable services in Darfur.

Pakistani troops are employed at United Nations peacekeeping mission in Darfur since 2008.
