LAHORE-Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani reached provincial metropolis on Friday evening amid reports of his meeting with Mian Atta Manika of PML-Q’s forward bloc on Saturday (today). 

Though Mr Manika has rejected reports of his meeting with PM Gilani, political circles were abuzz late Friday night predicting a meeting between the two at PM’s DHA residence, signalling some important political development taking place in Punjab in the near future.

When contacted by TheNation to know the veracity of reports regarding a meeting with the prime minister, Mr Manika rejected the rumours terming them as mere speculation. He said he was going to Dubai on Saturday (today) for a medical check up and would be back after a week. Manika further said that there was no question of meeting PM Gilani though he enjoyed very friendly relations with him.
