According to Wikipedia, Snakes and Ladders is an ancient board game, usually played by children, regarded today as a worldwide classic.  The historic version had root in morality lessons, where a player's progression up the board represented a life journey complicated by virtues (ladders) and vices (snakes). It is played between two or more players on a game board having numbered squares. A number of "ladders" and "snakes" are pictured on the board, each connecting two specific board squares. The object of the game is to navigate one's game piece from the start (bottom square) to the finish (top square), helped or hindered by ladders and snakes, respectively. The boiling kettle of our country’s politics has reached maximum temperature. The two main pillars of state, jdiciary and executive have locked horns and chances of reconciliation are minimum. The veteran Prime  Minister and President of Pakistan are not ready to bow before Apex court’s decision. Sagacity calls for some sane and democratic decisions from government lest the executive should find itself in the mouth of proverbial snake.
