LAHORE - The funeral prayers of Sub-Inspector Muhammad Yousaf was offered at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh on Tuesday night.
Lahore Corps Commander Naveed Zaman, Punjab IGP Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhera, CCPO Muhammad Amin Wains, DIG (Operations) Dr Haider Ashraf, and DIG (Investigations) Shahzad Sultan attended the funeral prayers besides a number of other police officers, relatives and family friends of the deceased.
Lahore Corps Commander Naveed Zaman and CCPO Amin Wains paid tributes to the martyred police officer. Corps Commander Naveed Zaman also said that the police sacrifices in the war on terror would always be remembered. He further said that the menace of terrorism would be eliminated from Pak soil since all the institutions, including police and Pak Army, are battling the militancy with the support of the nation.
Additional-IG Amin Wains said that the terrorists could not demoralize the police force by targeting innocent persons. He also said that the police force would fight side by side Pakistan Army to eradicate the scourge of terrorism. A police squad also presented salute to the martyred officer. Later, the body was handed over to the deceased family.
