islamabad - Police booked four showroom owners for putting their vehicles on sale along Murree Road despite a ban on such exercise imposed by the district government. The cases were registered on the complaint of DSP Waheed Ullah Khan who approached police following the orders of Chief Traffic Officer Shoaib Khurram Janbaz against the showroom owners, informed a police spokesman yesterday. According to him, the DSP lodged complaint with police stations Sadiqabad and New Town. He added that the influx of the vehicles has been causing gigantic traffic jams.
Police, taking action, lodged cases against four showroom owners under section 341 and started investigation.
On the other hand, police also impounded 8 vehicles under section 550 on account of creating hurdles in smooth flow of traffic on Murree Road, he added.
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Wisal Fakhar Sultan Raja and CTO Shoaib Khurram Janbaz had ordered strict action against the showroom owners involved in selling vehicles on Murree Road.
