Imran, Mahmood discuss PTI strategy
Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed has held a meeting with PTI Chairman Imran Khan at latter’s residence in Islamabad. In a statement issued from here on Saturday, it was said that Mian Mahmood apprised Khan of PTI’s preparation for Senate election from Punjab. PTI’s Ch Sarwar is contesting from the province on general seat. Mahmood hoped that PTI will secure a Senate seat from Punjab. He informed Khan about his and other PTI MPAs contacts with opposition parties in Punjab Assembly. Later, talking to media, Mian Mahmood said that Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif was a big drama and people were well aware about it. He said Shehbaz was the brother of most corrupt leader in the country. He said PTI will win the next general election with clear majority. –Staff Reporter
SBP ex-chief praises chief minister
Former governor of State Bank Dr Ishrat Hussain highly praised the performance of CM Shehbaz Sharif at his book launching ceremony yesterday. He said that performance of Shehbaz is a role model for other provinces. “It was good performance of Shehbaz Sharif that brought victory to PML-N in the 2013 elections. Shehbaz Sharif took ideal steps to uplift education, health, transport, solid waste management, infrastructure, energy and other sectors in the province and they were all implemented transparently saving billions of dollars of the national kitty,” he said terming the CM a committed leader and reformer. –Staff Reporter
Delivery outside hospital ‘noticed’
Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of birth of a baby outside the Aziz Bhatti Hospital of Gujrat and sought report from health secretary and district administration. He issued directives to indicate the responsible ones of the incident who have not admitted the woman to hospital and to take disciplinary action.–Staff Reporter
