GUJRANWALA  - Three real brothers, who died in a span of 30 minutes Friday night, were laid to rest amid sorrows and sobs here in Shahbaz Colony on Saturday. 

According to police and locals, 35-year-old Zahid, resident of Shahbaz Colony, committed suicide by shooting self over some domestic issues here Friday night. As his elder brother Ghulam Abbas,40, and younger one 25-year-old Saddam heard about his death, they both suffered cardiac arrest in shock and breathed their last on the way to hospital.  

According to Gujranwala Saddr Police sources, all three brothers died within 30 minutes span of time. 

The heart-wrenching incident plunged the entire area into shock and emotional scenes were witnessed as a large of people from far and near thronged the ill-fated house. There was gloom and sorrows prevailed throughout the day and the entire neighbourhood was in mourning.  

Zahid, a welder by profession was survived by a girl. 

A large number of people from all walks of life attended the funeral for the three brothers and later they were laid rest in the native graveyard. 

WOMAN TORTURED  

A man tortured his wife for allegedly demanding money to purchase food items for her newly-born child. Farrah, a resident of Cantt area, told the media here at DHQ Hospital that she had given birth to a baby boy about two days. On Saturday, when she demanded money from her husband to buy daily-use items, her husband first refused and then started torturing her with stick. 

GUARD THRASHES TORTURES   

A hospital security guard allegedly tortured a youth for enter ward. It was reported that attendants of a patient Haider Ali tried to enter the ward but a security guard did not allow them. Over the issue, both the parties had a heated argument which turned into a quarrel. During the spat, the hospital security guard tortured the youth brutally while heirs including women protested against the incident and demanded action against security guard.
