LAHORE - JUI-F Ameer Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that there is no chance of tussle between the PML-N and PPP. Addressing a media conference along with partys central secretary information Maulana Amjad Khan here Sunday, Fazl said that the PML-N was pursuing the same track for playing their role as Opposition, which was being followed by the JUI-F. He said that the war on terror had put the Kashmir issue and other matters on backburner, which were waiting a settlement with India. The JUI-F would hold Kashmir Conference in February, and representatives from all the political parties of Azad and Kashmir would be invited in this conference, he added. We dont know anything about the whereabouts of the Taliban, but the army knows better, he said, and alleged that the present governments tactics to curb terror were the same as pursued by Pervez Musharraf in the past. He said that parting way with the government was no solution to the existing crises, and the religious parties must have to unite at this crucial phase. The JUI-F has differences with the government over the issue of drone attacks, as the government just utter condemnation, but did not take any solid steps in this regard, he said and opined, The government needs to review its policy on the terror war. We cannot hit the road to progress till the time Pakistan is an ally of the US in the war on terror, he maintained. He said that we should not serve the interests of the international powers by taking two steps forward. He further said that we could not stop India from constructing Baghliar and other dams and we should accept that dictatorial powers were more powerful than the democratic forces today. Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that Ministry of Interior and Foreign Affairs were avoiding the directions of the Parliaments National Security Committee by employing delaying tactics. Pakistan is passing through dangerous time, he said and called upon all the political forces to struggle to save the country and strengthen democracy.
