Two armed insurgents were killed by Afghan security forces after Taliban launched a wave of attacks in Kabul on Monday, NATO said in a statement. NATO's International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said that Afghan security forces had secured roads in central Kabul as Taliban militants took over buildings in the political and commercial heart of the city. "Initial reports are they have killed at least two armed insurgents at the shopping centre after clearing the building," the ISAF statement said.
