The candid letter of Eng. Khurshid Anwer on KBD in the Daily Nation of 17.01.12 is appreciated in that he has effectively replied to the anti-KBD stance of Mr. Sial. There seems to be no sane reason for opposing KBD simply for it being located in Punjab while favouring Bhasha solely due to its location outside Punjab. One fails to understand that given the logical facts given by Eng Khurshid Anwer how can one oppose KBD short of having open enmity with Punjab that is the breadbasket of the nation. All persons opposing KBD must peep within their souls and see if they are seeking to destroy Pakistan to land it in famine and destruction of the industrial base due to shortage of water and power being faced by the nation. The nation needs unity in this hour of peril and the smaller units should support Punjab and not oppose KBD in their myopic view.
