ANP condemns MQM MPA killing

PESHAWAR - The ANP has strongly condemned the killing of MQM lawmaker in Karachi and asked the government to arrest the killers forthwith.
Expressing sorrow and grief over the killing of MQM MPA Manzar Imam, ANP Central President Asfandyar Wali Khan and ANP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Senator Afrasyab Khattak in a joint statement issued on Thursday said that they condemn the murder of MQM lawmaker.
They alleged that certain elements were bent upon sabotaging peace and they were not sincere with the country at all. The MQM MPA Manzar Imam had been killed along with his three police guards at Orangi Town area of Karachi on Thursday.
They asked the government to arrest the killers of Manzar Imam forthwith. They called upon political parties that time had come to get united to eliminate terrorism from the country and restore a durable peace.
They said that ANP was on the front line in the war against militants and that’s why it had lost a number of party workers, lawmakers, party’s office bearers and even a provincial minister Bashir Ahmad Bilour in the recent past.
They extended sympathies to the bereaved family of slain MPA Manzar Iman and said that ANP was with the MQM at this stage.
