AHMEDPUR EAST - Chickenpox claimed two children lives here in two different incidents.

As per detail, 4-year-old Maqbool Ahmed, son of Manzoor Ahmed Chohan died after contracting chickenpox in nearby Basti Chohan while the second death was reported from Basti Kacchi Saadat where 3-year-old Aaliya, daughter of Niaz Shah lost her life due to chickenpox.

Meanwhile, THQ Hospital focal person Doctor Abdul Aziz contradicted the claim of the parents the deceased children and said that they died due to hepatitis and asthma.

Seerat seminar on 19th:  In connection with Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH), a Seeratul Nabi seminar will be held at Govt SA College Dera Nawab Sahib on January 19.

The speakers will highlight the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). College Principal Ghulam Akber Sheikh will chair the seminar.

light rain: The entire Sialkot region received light and heavy rain with the loud thunder of dark clouds and lightning here on Thursday. It remained dark cloudy making the weather much chilly, as there was no sunlight in the region for the last two days. The cold winds (coming from the neighbouring icy Alps of occupied Jammu and Kashmir) continuously blew, making the weather more cold.

People stayed indoors in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial, Pasrur and surrounding areas, in a bid to enjoy rainy, and chilly weather without having electricity and gas.
