LAHORE – District Coordination Officer Noorul Amin Mengal the parking problems in the City will be solved soon.

“The district administration, traffic police and Lahore Parking Company would solve the parking problems of vehicles by equipping all parking stands with modern facilities as the CDGL handed over control of all the parking stands to Lahore Parking Company (LPC) under an agreement,” the DCO said at a meeting of Lahore Parking Company. CTO Sohail Ch, DO (PF) Fahad Anees Qureshi, DSP Traffic and representatives of Lahore Parking Company attended the meeting.

The DCO revealed that the parking company would divide all parking stands into two zones and would hand over such parking lots to a private company for the provision of latest facilities. “The parking stands will be modernised and CDGL will earn large profits” he added. CTO Sohail Chaudhry said that traffic police will fully support the company to resolve the problems of parking in the city.

PREPARATION: District Coordination Officer Noor ul Amin Mengal has stated that all outstanding measures would be carried out by CDGL on the occasion of Jashan-i-Eid Miladun-Nabi (SAW) and the provision of security to the procession would also be ensured.

He expressed these views while chairing a meeting regarding the arrangements of Eid-Miladun-Nabi (SAW) at Nadir Hall on Thursday afternoon. The meeting was attended by MPA Kh. Imran Nazir, MPA Haji Allah Rakha, ADC (G), DO (C) Waseema Umer, SP Security, SP (City) Assistant Commissioners, TMOs and renowned religious scholars of the city. Mr. Mengal said to ensure strict security measures, as taken on the occasion of 10th of Muharram Procession. He stated that City District Government Lahore would register FIRs against people, involving in such activities which are against the teachings of Islam like dancing on Indian songs on the occasion of the Procession of Eid-Miladun-Nabi (SAW). He also directed the officials concerned to start patchwork on the route of Procession and Traffic Police, Civil Defence volunteers and Police personnel would also be deployed to protect the participants of Procession

Separately, price control magistrates conducted 337 inspections of different shops to check the prices of different edibles.

They made challans of 66 shopkeepers over price hike and hoarding and imposed Rs. 45700 fine and get registered 1 case. 

Meanwhile, on the direction of District Coordination Officer anti stray dogs teams visited different areas of all towns and killed 106 dogs.
