SHEIKHUPURA/SARGODHA/WARBURTON - Five persons including three women were killed in different incidents and mishaps over the past 24 hours.

As per detail, two women were killed in two separate incidents in Muridke city here the other day.

Reportedly in Rehmania Colony Muridke, a youth had some differences with his father over a property issue. The desperate youth demanded his share from property from his father and mother. However, they refused at which he fired gunshots on his parents and uncle. Resultantly, his mother received severe bullet injuries and died instantly while his father and uncle sustained bullet injuries and were shifted to nearby hospital. The City Muridke Police started investigation into the incident.

Similarly, in Basra Colony a woman committed suicide by swallowing poisonous pill. The motive behind the suicide could not be ascertained so far.

In SARGODHA, a teenager was killed in a road mishap in the remit of Sillanwali Police.

As per detail, 14-year-old Muhammad Usman, son of Ehsan Ullah, a resident of Barhana District Chiniot was going on Zia Shaheed Road on a bicycle.

Meanwhile, a truck hit the cycle from the rear, killing the cyclist on the spot.

A police patrol reached the scene, arrested truck driver and impounded vehicles.

Similarly in WARBURTON, a woman was tragically burnt to death in a mishap involving a gas heater. Reportedly, Asima Bibi, wife of Allah Ditta stole a cellphone and blamed her relative woman for the incident.

She also ‘falsely’ took oath on Holy Quran in a mosque to prove her innocence. As soon as she returned from mosque, she caught fire from a gas heater. As a result, her body was burnt completely within few minutes and she was admitted to the RHS Warburton.

However, she was shifted to Mao Hospital Lahore but was returned due to her critical condition. She succumbed to the burns.

It is to be noted that the stolen cellphone was recovered from her home after her death.

Meanwhile, a man was crushed to death by a speeding truck here the other day.

A loaded truck coming from Feroze Wattuan ran over Chand Mann, son of Shahbaz Mann, a resident of village Machrala, when he tried to save an 8-year-old child walking on foot. He died on the spot.

The police have registered a case against truck driver.
