GUJRANWALA - Despite strike call given by the YDA, the delivery of healthcare services continued in hospitals smoothly as the seniors as well as young doctors performed their duties here.
Reportedly, the strike call given by the Young Doctors Association (YDA) failed to get response as the services in emergency, indoor and outdoor of Civil Hospital remained open while the police personnel were also deployed to deal with any untoward incident.
It is to be noted here that after the recent assault on senior doctors by the YDA ‘activists’ legal proceedings were initiated and nine doctors including YDA Gujranwala President Kashif Bilal were arrested while the services of 11 other doctors were terminated after which considerable number of doctors resumed their duties.
Meanwhile, the Civil Hospital Medical Superintendent while talking to The Nation claimed that no doctor was on strike as working at hospital remained as par with the routine in the Civil Hospital.
