QUETTA - The Balochistan Assembly members both from the Treasury and Opposition benches decided to stage a sit-in outside the Parliament House in Islamabad on January 20, protesting against the kidnapping of ANP leader Arbab Abdul Zahir Kasi.

Opposition Leader Maulana Abdul Wasey, Chief Minister’s Adviser Ubaidullah Babat, Member Provincial Assembly Mufti Gulab Shah, ANP General Secretary Rasheed Khan Nasir, Balochistan National Party leader Naseer Shahwani, Hazara Democratic Party member Raza Wakeel and others said this while addressing to a news conference here on Friday.

They said that law and order situation was worsening day by day across the country and the masses have been left with no other option but to live under a grip of fear. They said that all places including, religious congregations, funeral prayers and government offices, were not safe. They added that Arbab Abdul Zahir Kasi is a political leader and the chief of the Kasi tribe, so all the political parties have put aside their political difference taking a unanimous stance for his release.

They said that all the political parties would stage a sit-in outside the Parliament House on January 20 and also meet the President and Prime Minister in this regard. “On January 19, all the political parties would hold an important meeting which would be presided over by Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch,” they said. They said that all the institutions will have to play their role for the improvement in law and order situation in Balochistan.
