Zeeshan hits unbeaten ton for Islamabad

ISLAMABAD - Zeeshan Ali’s unbeaten ton put Islamabad in the driving seat against Karachi Whites in their Faysal Bank Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2013-2014 Super Eight Stage third round Group-A match Friday. Zeeshan hit sparkling unbeaten 103, Ali Sarfraz made 62 while Imad Wasim was unbeaten at 50 as Islamabad scored 285-3 and took 36 runs first innings lead with 7 wickets still intact. In Group-B match, Multan finished the day at 105-3 in their second outing, taking an overall lead of 284 runs with 7 wickets still remaining. Earlier, Multan were all out for 281. Nasir Malik took 5 for 71 and Haseeb Azam 3 for 85. Rawalpindi innings folded at a meager 102 runs. Amir Yamin and Kumail Abbas took 5 and 4 wickets conceding 38 and 39 runs, respectively.–Staff Reporter
