ISLAMABAD - Shifa International Hospital Islamabad cricket team beat Vital Cricket Club Rawalpindi by 7 wickets to win the best of three-match series 2-1. Shifa skipper Qutab Uddin Qureshi won the toss and invited Vital Club to bat first. Vital were all out for 173. Irfan (42), Rashid (22) and Amir (19) were the key contributors. Salman Khan Kundi claimed 3 wickets for 19 runs while Tahir Akhtar also chipped in with 3 for 34 and Ali Mubashir grabbed 2 for 16. Shifa achieved the target in the 23rd over for the loss of only three wickets. M Naseer played match-winning innings of 79 studded with 11 boundaries while Mubashir (32) and Tahir Akhtar (30) were the other notebale contributors. Irfan took 2 for 31. Tahir Akhtar was named player of the match for his superb bowling display.
