SSP’s Shahkot, Sangla presidents arrested

SANGLA HILL - Following the Punjab government directives, the police have launched a crackdown on activities of banned organisations and arrested Tehsil Shahkot and Sangla Hill president of outlawed Sipah-e-Sahab Pakistan (SSP). According to sources, a raid was conducted in two Tehsils of Nankana district and arrested SSP Tehsil Sangla Hill President Maqsood Moavia, son of former MNA Abdul Latif Anwar and Sipah-e-Sahaba affiliated Maulana Saeed Anwar (Shahkot).
The arrested activists have been shifted to an undisclosed location. With the arrest of the two Tehsil presidents other members of the SSP have gone into hiding. The law enforcement agencies are conducting raids to arrest them.
