Rawalpindi - Two brothers, believed to be informers of police, have been murdered by their friends in Gulayan village of Gujar Khan, sources informed The Nation here on Saturday. The killers threw the dead bodies of the two brothers near a dam, from where the police on calling of locals recovered the dead bodies and shifted to hospital for post-mortem. The deceased were identified as Najeeb (32) and Ahsan (26) sons of Raffique, a resident of Gulyana village of Gujar Khan. However, police claimed that both brothers were criminals and involved in several incidents of robberies and dacoities and were murdered by two of their accomplices Adnan and Usman.

According to sources, two real brothers Najeeb and Ahsan, who were believed to be informers of police, were shot dead by their two friends Adnan and Usman. Sources said that a brawl occurred between the four after which they gathered in a place to settle the dispute. During meeting, they again wrestled on which Adnan and Usman shot the two brothers dead with weapons and threw their dead bodies near a dam.

The killers fled after committing the crime.

Station House Officer (SHO) PS Gujar Khan Arif Gondal, however, when contacted, confirmed the double murders case. He said that the deceased and the killers all were criminals and committed crimes together. He said that Adnan and Usman murdered Najeeb and Ahsan over some dispute. He informed that police found bullet riddled bodies of the two brothers near a dam and shifted to hospital for autopsy. A murder case was registered while police were investigating the matter.
