FAISALABAD - Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has rejected the allegations of not transferring power to new elected representatives of local bodies (LB).

Addressing a ceremony here on Sunday, Rana Sanaullah said PML-N-led provincial government was committed to grant power to LB representatives to resolve problems faced by people at grass-root level and baseless accusations of rivals in this regard were condemnable.

He said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will bring a new era of development and progress in the country and the region as well.

The Punjab law minister lamented staging sit-ins in the country and said the economic situation of the state had improved due to the committed efforts and policies of the incumbent government.

Sanaullah said that the joint investigation team probing the attack on Pathankot Airbase was doing its job and the persons responsible will be held accountable.
