Govt spending Rs5b on KP electricity system

ISLAMABAD: Federal government is spending over five billion rupees on the

improvement of electricity system in KP. A spokesman of PESCO told state-run Radio Pakistan that the govt has initiated work on one hundred and fifty-one electricity projects in the province out of which fifty-five have been completed. These projects

include lying of new transmission lines, repair of transformers and upgradation of

different grid stations. Similarly, work on the construction of two hundred and twenty KV grid stations in Charsadda, Mansehra and Dera Ismail Khan is also in progress.–NNI
