Outlaws held, narcotics, weapons recovered

Islamabad-Islamabad police arrested 11 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered 500 grams of hashish, 220 grams of heroin and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.

He said that Secretariat police arrested Khalique for having stolen items worth Rs150,000 while Bhara Kahu police nabbed a robber, Sudher, while recovering a pistol from him.

Ramana police arrested Qaisar Mehmud for having 500 grams of hashish while Industrial Areas police nabbed Qamar Afzal for possessing a pistol. Noon police arrested Wasi Abbas and Nadeem Akhtar for having a pistol and a rifle, respectively.

Similarly, Golra police arrested Nazeer for having 230 grams of heroin while Suleman was arrested for decanting gas. Koral police arrested Pervez for selling petroleum products illegally and recovered 200 litters of diesel from him.

Cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway, the spokesman concluded.
