CHERIE Blair, the wife of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, has become UKs most high-profile victim of flu, reports The Times of India. She started feeling unwell at the beginning of the week and was diagnosed with suspected swine flu on Tuesday. She has been put on a course of anti-viral Tamiflu. Mrs Blair, a leading barrister, was in bed Friday battling the virus. She was forced to cancel a series of engagements, including receiving an honorary degree from Liverpools Hope University, after being diagnosed with flu. A spokesman for Mrs Blair said, She has had to cancel her engagements because of a suspected case of swine flu. Cherie Blair, 54, was to receive an honorary degree at Liverpool Hope University on Thursday. She was to be given the award alongside 600 graduates receiving degrees in a ceremony at Liverpools Anglican Cathedral. Tony Blair has been in the Middle East all week. None of the couples four children has shown any signs of being infected, the Daily Mail reported on Friday.
