Karachi received heavy rainfall with windstorm on Saturday morning. Several parts of the city received light drizzle on Friday afternoon as the Meteorological Department forecast chances of thunderstorm and rain due to a low-pressure area over South East Sindh. Several feeders of KESC were tripped during the rainfall causing power outages in several parts of Karachi. Karachi was undergoing an intense heat spell before the rainfall, which turned pleasant after the wet spell. The city was under thick and dark clouds this morning before the rain lashes the metropolis. Nazim City government Karachi Mustafa Kamal has declared alert for the rain emergency centres to meet any contingency.
