QUETTA - Balochistan Excise and Taxation Minister Sardarzada Rustam Khan Jamali has complained that Balochistan was still not getting its due share from the Indus despite assurances of the Sindh government. Talking to newsmen in Dera Murad Jamali on Friday, he said that Balochistan was still facing shortage of 800 cusec water. If this issue is not solved till July 18, we will take up this issue with Chief Minister and Governor of Sindh, he added. He said that owing to less water, different crops of province were being affected. Rustam Khan Jamali said that the provincial government had taken up this issue with the Sindh government and in a meeting, the Sindh government had assured that all out efforts would be made to ensure release of due share of water to Balochistan from the Indus. However, still Balochistan was not getting its share and warned that if the situation remained unchanged agriculture sector of Balochistan would face irreparable loss.
