LAHORE - The Young Doctors Association and family members of a missing trainee doctor of Jinnah Hospital, Ali Abdullah have demanded of the Federal and Punjab governments for the early recovery of the doctor. Addressing a Press conference here at the Press Club on Saturday, Dr Sarfraz father of the missing doctor, Dr Ayesha (mother) and Dr Abubakar Gondal, President YDA Jinnah Hospital criticised the law enforcement agencies over their failure to recover the missing doctor. They said that Dr Ali was abducted on July 10 while returning to home for lunch and an FIR was also got registered with Garden Town Police Station on the same day but police was still clueless about the missing person. They said Dr Ali, a 24-year-old House Officer of Jinnah Hospitals surgical unit-I had a brilliant educational career and won many medals while he was also a law-abiding citizen. Mother of the doctor appealed to the govt that her son was a patient of Asthma so the authorities should make sincere efforts to recover him. The YDA President said that if Dr Ali could not be recovered within two days the doctors will go on strike at all hospitals except emergencies besides protest demonstrations at roads from Monday.
