LAHORE - A local civil judge Ghulam Mustafa on Saturday sought reply from a film, television actor Moamar Rana by Sept 9 on Rs1.1 million damage plea filed by a drama producer Javed Iqbal. The producer in his plea submitted that he had engaged the actor for his upcoming drama serial Teri Yad Nahi Jati against an agreement of Rs0.1 million. He said the shooting of the drama was to be held in UK and Rs25,000 had been paid to the actor as an advance while the remaining was to be paid after completion of the drama serial. The producer said Moamar Rana violated the agreement and consequently shooting of the drama could not be held due to his unavailability. Work permit to shoot drama in UK was also expired due to wilful negligence of the actor causing huge loss to him, the producer added. He prayed that the respondent actor be directed to pay damages of Rs1.1 million in order to recover the loss caused by him.
