QUETTA - The special plane of Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani made emergency landing at Quetta Airport on Saturday after one of the engines of the plane caught fire. Official sources said the CM accompanied by Provincial Finance Minister Mir Asim Kurd Gilo and Chief Secretary Baloch Ahmed Bakshah Lehri was on his way to Islamabad to attend the meeting of Council of Common Interest. Soon after the take off the pilot detected slight heat up in one of the engines of the airplane and made an emergency landing at the Quetta Airport. The aircraft remained about 10 minutes in the air and could not continue its journey after fire erupted in one of its engines, sources said. All on board remained safe during the landing. Meanwhile Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif made called Nawab Aslam Raisani and inquired after his well-being.
