BAHAWALPUR-Election tribunal Bahawalpur disqualified Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of National Assembly Malik Sultan Mehmood Hanjar today and ordered to hold a re-poll in NA 176 constituency.

Election tribunal gave its verdict on a petition filed by former Punjab governor Ghulam Mustafa Khar against PML-N MNA, Malik Sultan.

During the hearing, the petitioner stated that according to articles 62 and 63 of the constitution, Malik Sultan was not an honest (Saqid) and Ameen (truthful) person as he kept secret some fact in his nomination papers.  On this the election tribunal declared him disqualified and ordered to hold elections
again in the constituency.
