MUZAFFARGARH

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) District President Nawabzada Mansoor Ahmed Khan has said that more than one million people are going to Islamabad to participate in the party’s Azadi march.

Addressing a press conference here at his residence in Khangarh, he claimed that the PTI was struggling for strengthening democracy and supremacy of Constitution in the country.

Nawabzada Mansoor also invited like-minded political parties for joining the march of the PTI. He also demanded recounting in 170 National Assembly constituencies instead of 70 constituencies as announced by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan in the National Assembly. He declared that recounting in 70 NA constituencies was not acceptable to his party which had been pressing for drastic electoral reform.

Criticizing the Punjab government for its failure to maintain the law and order even in Lahore, he demanded resignation of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for “what he described as failure.” He said the good governance had failed to provide security to the masses, adding that the PML-N had been running the government affairs through “Gullu Butts” in Punjab.

Citing examples of poll rigging, Nawabzada Mansoor said that Mian Nawaz Sharif contested elections from Sargodha constituency where 85,000 votes were polled against the registered 30,000 votes while record of a numbers of constituencies was missing.

If the PML-N is fair with democracy and wishes to celebrate Independence Day jointly, than it must acknowledge the PTI demands for electoral reforms and accept fraud in the elections.

He said that over one million IDPs had migrated from North Waziristan and the KPK government has been struggling for resources. He demanded the Federal government for taking serious measures for the rehabilitation of IDPs.
