ISLAMABAD - Calling upon the people to recognise the sacrifices of the armed forces in their fight against terror, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed his resolve that the nation would get rid of the menace of terrorism once for all as each and every countryman was standing by the Pak Army fighting against terrorists in every nook and corner of the country.
In his message on Eidul Fitr, Premier Sharif said, “We must also be aware of the sacrifices rendered by our valiant soldiers who are successfully defending the national objective of security and peace of our country. We must also remember our martyrs who have sacrificed their lives so that the nation could live in peace and tranquility. We must bear in mind the travails experienced by the Pakistanis displaced from North Waziristan, who will be constrained to celebrate Eid in their camps,” he added.
The premier extended his heartiest felicitations to the nation on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. He further conveyed his sincere good wishes to the Muslim Ummah on celebrating this auspicious day.
“It was our good fortune to have been blessed with the holy month of Ramadan during which we were provided with an opportunity to have the ultimate acceptance of our devotion to our Creator. We earnestly hope that Almighty Allah will grant approval to our collective effort and bestow His mercy on us,” he said in his message.
“The holy month of Ramadan not only brings us blessings of Allah but also instills in us the value of sustained and patient effort required to be part of our daily life.”
“Eidul Fitr is the culmination of our humble endeavour undertaken to invoke goodwill of Almighty Allah. We bow before Him in all humility after fulfilling our commitment during the month of Ramadan,” he added.
“The essential lesson of Eidul Fitr is laden with shunning all differences between us and this sacred occasion exhorts us to promote harmony with the aim to inculcate love and affection for each other. On this day it is incumbent on us to look after the less fortunate amongst us and make them part of our collective celebration. We should always remember that Eid is the epitome of collective happiness and its blessings should be shared as wide as possible,” the message stated.
“We must also remember the victims of the Peshawar tragedy whose innocent martyrdom united the entire nation against terrorism with the resolve to root out this menace once for all. We are confident that due to the collective sacrifices rendered by our nation Pakistan will soon be blessed with long-term peace and prosperity,” the PM concluded.
