Rangers, Sindh police to jointly provide security for elections

Inspector General Sindh Police, Amjad Javed Saleem, said that the security plan for the elections on July 25 will include rangers along with the Sindh police.

While speaking to media in Saeedabad, IG Sindh further informed that the number of sensitive polling stations in Sindh is over 5,700.

Explaining the comprehensiveness of the security plan, he added that the police will team up with the rangers and both the forces will be on one communication network. He further elaborated that in case of any security concern; both the forces will be alerted and will be encouraged to reach the place of incident as soon as possible.

Along with the 100,000 policemen deployed at different polling stations throughout the province, there will also be a reserve police at the police station.  

IG Sindh further explained that while some of the polling stations are declared as normal, some of them are extremely sensitive.
