Eight people were killed and eight others were wounded in two attacks, one with rockets, in Abu-Graib area west of Baghdad, local police said. "Three Katyusha rockets landed this morning on a village near Abu-Graib, killing four people and injuring eight others," the police source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity, adding the death toll might rise. The attacks also damaged four houses, he added. In another attack, four people of a family were killed when unknown gunmen stormed their house in central Abu-Graib this morning, said the source. Various attacks have continued all around Iraq since the March parliamentary elections, leaving thousands of civilians killed and injured.
