Supreme Court on Friday sought a complete list of those who got their loans written off from 1971 to 1990 from State Bank of Paksitan, a private TV reported. A three-member bench under the head of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard a suo moto notice of the waived loans issue. Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry in his remarks during the hearing said that those who will not return back the national wealth will be sent to jail. 'The depositors begging at streets while those who had written off bank loans have reached to top offices, the Chief Justice deplored. Justice Khalilur Rehman Ramday urged Khawaja Haris to come forward in public interest and pursue the said case sans fees. Salman Raja cotnended that some Rs103 billion rupees have been taken as loan since 1990, while the mark up has been Rs99billion. The case later adjourned till August 02.
