AJK polls 41 polling stations sensitive

SIALKOT - As many as 41 polling stations out of total 257 have been declared sensitive regarding the AJK Legislative Assembly general elections scheduled to be held here on June 26. There are 191,319 registered voters (Kashmir Muhaajireen) in two constituencies (LA-31, Jammu-II Sialkot and LA-32, Jammu-III Sialkot). About 69 polling stations have been established in LA-31 Jammu-II Sialkot and 188 in LA-32 Jammu-III Sialkot by the Election Commission. These polling stations have been established in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur. Sialkot District Police Officer (DPO) Bilal Sadiq Kamiyana told the newsmen that 2,000 policemen would be deployed to avert any untoward incident, besides ensuring transparent, free and impartial election. The high-ups of district administration, police and other law enforcing agencies visited polling stations to review the foolproof election plan to ensure peaceful and transparent polling there.
