OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Pakistan Movement Workers Trust has appealed the Punjab Govt to provide funds for the construction of Aiwan-e-Quaid-e-Azam. The Aiwan will be constructed at Johar Town on 47 kanal land of Nazria Pakistan Trust (NPT). The NPT had purchased the land in 1992 and out of 47 kanals, four Kanals had been donated by the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani had also provided Rs 200 million fund for the project of worth Rs one billion. Trust Chairman Colonel (r) Jamshed Ahmad Tareen appealed the Punjab government to allocate Rs 500 million in the current budget for the construction of above said Aiwan. Punjab Assembly had unanimously passed the resolution in 1991 and proposed the construction of Aiwan-e-Quaid-e-Azam, but the resolution was still not implemented after passing of 19 years, he added.
