HAFIZABAD - An NGO of Sukheke Mandi has set a noble gesture to provide medicines worth Rs8 million to the Health Department for onward supply to the government hospitals in the district. As per detail, the Mustafa Welfare Society Sukheke Mandi handed stock of medicines worth Rs8 million to DCO Muhammad Asif who was the chief guest at a function held here. The DCO thanked Welfare Society Chairman Azmat Ullah Sultan for his noble gesture and called upon the notables of the area to follow the suit. The DCO said that there is no great worship than serving the ailing humanity. It is pertinent to mention that there was acute shortage of medicines in government hospital for the past few months. Although funds have been released for the local purchase of medicines but yet Health Department has failed to ensure supply of medicines to hospitals.
