Model Town tragedy is unacceptable: Fazl

Islamabad- Chief of his own faction of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Maulana Fazal ur Rehman today said that Model Town incident has shocked the entire  nation.
Speaking to journalists after meeting with PML-Q leadership, Maulana said that everybody in the country was feeling remorse for lost of innocent lives in Lahore incident and expressed his sympathies with PTA, its chief, workers and victim’s families. He said the country could not face chaos and unrest in a situation when its army is busy operation in tribal area and country is in state of war.
JUI-F chief said that Punjab government has not taken strict action after Model Town tragedy but is trying to cover it. He said culprits of Lahore incident must be brought to justice and government should defuse the situation rather than pouring oil on it. Maulana said compensation is just government formality but not alternate of human lives. To a query on ongoing operation in North Waziristan he said his party and Jirga was not taken into confidence by the government and started operation without consultation. Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on occasion said that Qadri’s 10 point agenda against the government was given to Maulana who has sought time to review it and to give his suggestions Q-League chief said that Punjab government launched preplanned operation against PTA workers in Lahore which was open state terrorism.
