NORTH WAZIRISTAN- Local administration today announced relaxation of curfew in North Waziristan and directed people to migrate to safer places within three days.

Sources said local administration directed residents of Mir Ali to vacate their areas within three days. However, curfew will be relaxed tomorrow for residents of Zarmak.

It may be noted here that local administration had imposed curfew due to military’s anti-Taliban operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ launched on June 15. Reports said that a large number of people were vacating the areas. The people are also facing difficulties due to non-availability of transport.

Moreover, high fares have further complicated the problems for Internally Displace People.

Bannu Commissioner, Mohsan Ali said relaxation of curfew is aimed at allowing people to leave danger zones and the procedure will continue in different steps. A camp has been setup at border of tribal area and Bannu for registration but people are not going to it because of non-availability of basic facilities. .
