‘Self-sacrifice noblest of all virtues’

LAHORE - Training is an essential part of education, as it goes to form the character of a youngster. Without proper character-building of its young ones, no nation can register any progress whatsoever.
Chief Justice (r) Federal Sharia Court Mian Mehboob Ahmad expressed these views while addressing the students on the 9th day of the 15th annual educational session of the Ideological Summer School being jointly run by the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust and Pakistan Movement Workers Trust at the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan.
The attendees included Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Vice Chairman Professor Dr Rafique Ahmad, Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Secretary Shahid Rasheed and a large number of students and teachers.
Mian Mehboob Ahmad further observed that, as soon as the young ones attain the level of consciousness where they can comprehend things, the process of character-building should be started. All the desirable virtues and qualities must be inculcated in their character, he added.
“Self-sacrifice is the noblest of all virtues. We must learn to sacrifice our personal interests for our national interests, which can bring credit to our dear homeland,” the judge added.
Mian Mehboob Ahmad exhorted the young to attain the maximum height of character so that the world would look at the citizens of this country with respect and admiration.
Begum Bushra Rehman exhorted the youngsters to obey their parents and teachers in order to attain success and honour.
