rawalpindi-Regional Police Officer (RPO) Wisal Fakhar Sultan Raja visited Ramazan Sasta Bazaar at Khayaban-e-Sir Syed to review security arrangements put in place by police for the safety of people.
The RPO was accompanied by SP Rawal Division Malik Muhammad Iqbal, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sardar Babar Mumtaz and Station House Officer (SHO) Police Station Pirwadhai Chaudhry Riaz, informed a police spokesman yesterday.
According to him, RPO Wisal Fakhar paid a surprise visit to Ramazan Sasta Bazaar at Khayaban-e-Sir Syed and witnessed the security measures there.
The SP Rawal Division briefed the RPO about the security measurement made by police to tackle any untoward incident as well as to guard the consumers, he said.
The RPO also interacted with shoppers and expressed his satisfaction over arrangements by police and district government.
Wisal directed the police officers to improve the security of mosques, Imambargahs and other worship places, plazas, shopping malls, bazaars, Ramazan Sasta Bazaars and Dastarkhawans as per instructions of IG and CM Punjab.
He said that no negligence on part of cops would be tolerated and strict action would also be taken against those officers found involved in any negligence or carelessness during duty.
